Upgrading your Pool? Know what to expect from Pool Pump Prices.

Keeping your pool clean in summer and winter can take a lot of time. You might even decide that your pool could do with a little more tender loving care with an upgrade. Pool pumps don’t last forever, so the first upgrade your pool will need is a new pool pump but how do you go about getting a new one? Before purchasing a new pump, you need to know what to expect from pool pump prices to make sure that you get your hands on one that is suitable for your pool and budget.

Having a pool requires maintenance, you need to make sure that everything is in perfectly good running order. The problem is that over time certain items in your pool will need to be changed. This will include your pool pump, if the time has come to get a new one than you need to investigate pool pump prices. The first thing you need to do is figure out what size pump you need. Different sized pools will require different pumps. This is purely to do with the volume of water within the pool. You cannot get a pump that was designed for a splash pool put into one that has over 10000 litres of water. You need to know exactly what type of model you need before making the necessary changes. In general for the bigger pools you can expect to pay between R12000 and R60000.

What should a new pool pump be able to offer me?

Now that you know what you can expect to pay, you will want to know what type of specifications you need to look out for with your new one. Your new pool pump should be able to offer the following:

  • Energy efficient: in these times it is extremely important to be as energy efficient as possible. As the pump tends to use a lot of electricity it is a good idea to find one that is energy efficient. There are even some economically friendly pumps available for the truly green at heart.
  • Peace and quiet: the last thing you want to have while you are trying to get a good night’s rest is the sound of your pump whirring away. Choose a pump that has super quiet operation, so that you can sleep soundly at night.
  • Basket size: depending on the size of your pool will determine what type of basket size you will need. It is better to get one that is on a larger scale so that is easier to maintain. It will be able to collect more debris and provide you with a far cleaner pool.
  • Reliability: choose a brand that you know you can rely on. It is better to go with one that is well known and proven to work. If you were happy with your previous manufacture than try and find a newer version of your old pump.

Pool Spa & Filtration will not only offer you a wide range of pool pumps but everything else in between.
