Pond and pool vacuum cleaners really pack a punch, and we mean really. They’re effective at removing small debris, muck and that blanket of dirt that usually forms at the bottom of the pond. The best part is that you don’t need to empty your tank or pool to give it a thorough clean.
A great investment
We’ll admit that when it comes to costs, these pool cleaners are pretty much on the steep side. But think of it as long-term investing. You’re investing in a machine that lifts the burden of manual pool cleaning and does an effective job in the process.
Suction Pool Cleaners
There are different types of machines to choose from. The suction pool cleaners are reasonably priced and do a great job on pool walls. You’ll need to link your cleaner to your pool pump and it will manoeuvre independently.
Pressure-side Pool Cleaners
Pressure-side pool cleaners attach to the pressure side of a pool pump. It splits the water flowing into it into three separate streams. The first stream powers the thruster, which is the component that propels the unit around the pool. The second stream directs water to the venturi, which creates a vacuum that sucks up leaves and debris. The third stream gets directed to a sweeper tail on the unit’s back. There are two types of pressure-side pool cleaners; one requires a booster pump to work, and the other runs off your main circulation pump.
Robotic Pool Cleaners
Then there are the robotic pool cleaners. These are powerful, little machines that run off your home power grid. They also function independently, so there’s no dependence on your pump or filter system. These smart cleaners can even glide up walls and over stairs. Unlike its peers the robotic pool cleaner is the more advanced machine.
Ponds Vacuums
There’s no need to disturb Nemo, the rest of the fish community and the flora when you decide to vacuum your pond. As the cleaner gets to work on the bottom of your pond, water and debris are filtered, and pumped right back into your pond. The stuff you don’t want can be thrown away. You’ll need to check your pond’s water level when you’re done.
